Paulette M. Bethel's passion for understanding the impacts of the cross-cultural experience began at an early age growing up in the melting pot city of New Orleans, with its colorful history, her multicultural and multiracial background, a potpourri of cultural influences, and a chameleon like atmosphere that defies characterization. Paulette's international transitions started in her 20s and range from that of a being a Supply and Logistics Officer in the United States Air Force, to being the wife of an Air Force officer and the mother of four Third Culture Kids (TCKs), moving in and out of several countries, and being a doctoral candidate completing an international internship in China.
"I believe that these combined experiences have been key to my enjoyment and understanding of the expatriate lifestyle and the issues that accompany overseas living and the crises of repatriation."
Paulette conducts trainings and workshops on international transition, relationships, diversity, multiculturalism, and relocation issues.
